The Tekla Modelling Competition is an annual international competition showcasing the capabilities of Engineering Design organisations in the utilisation of the Tekla 3-D design modelling system for the design of significant structures.

Tekla software products and applications provide an accurate, detailed 3D environment for the building and construction industry.

The Australasian regional competition recently held received a large number of entries with a wide variety of different modelled structures, including major buildings such as multi-level commercial buildings, heavy and light industrial structures.

The winning model in the Steel Structures section of the competition was submitted by EMA Consulting Engineers and was a combination model of three major components of a coal washery, including a Storage Surge Bin, Dry Screening Module, Dense and Fine Coal Processing Modules. This coal washery is currently under construction in India.
